What will the future of transportation hold? The transportation industry is constantly evolving and innovating. Emerging technologies, tolling, congestion pricing, road usage charging, autonomous vehicles and other innovations and polices are part of the future of transportation and this industry. As these topics evolve, women are at the nexus of these innovations and conversations, leading their agencies and organizations to evolve, up and down the west coast. Regardless of the topic, one way to improve the transparency, financial investment and experience of emerging transportation innovations is to equitably involve the community - early and often.
Our panel of powerful women leaders in transportation will dive into what the future may hold, and how women will continue to lead our industry. From Washington to Oregon to California, our panelists will share their stories of personal and professional growth, trends in transportation-related outreach and best practices for equitable stakeholder engagement. Warm, welcoming and inviting, this session will feature a living-room-style set-up and opportunities for audience engagement via Poll Everywhere (an interactive, in-the-moment audience engagement tool). The use of video, a robust discussion, and audience interactivity will bring the panelist's stories to life.
Moderated by EnviroIssues, WTS' Employer of the Year, this session embodies forward-thinking, equitable and inspiring tenants that are reflective of WTS. The session will provide seasoned leaders - and those who are new to the transportation sector - inspiration for their personal and professional growth.
